5. PSYCHOOONCOLOGY FORUM

The Psycho-Oncology Forum for Patients, Their Loved Ones, Professionals, and Employers is an annual event organized by the Krakow-based Unicorn Association. The Forum is hosted by Barbara and Jerzy Stuhr. The event's main theme is active support for those affected by cancer – including medical therapy, psychological support, and all forms of support during treatment and recovery after illness. This year's Forum will take place on November 26th.

This year's fifth Forum will address topics in psychology, psycho-oncology, dietetics, rehabilitation, medicine, and many others. The organizers invite everyone interested – patients, their loved ones, medical staff, students, and employers. For safety reasons, this year's Forum will be held entirely online. This year’s Forum speakers will include Maria Marczak-Ziętkiewicz , a specialist in oncological radiotherapy, and Katarzyna Nowak-Ledniowska , a psychologist from the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center.

In the section for professionals, Maria Marczak-Ziętkiewicz will talk about working with the Simonton method during radiotherapy of a patient with claustrophobia. During the session for employers, he will discuss the topic of the European Code Against Cancer. If Poles do not change their lifestyle, in 10 years we may have an epidemic of cancer. 30-50 percent 30% of cancer cases are related to smoking. overweight and obese.

Half of all cancer cases can be avoided by following the guidelines in the European Code Against Cancer.
