Krakow
Over 100 people work at the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Krakow, including 14 radiotherapists, 10 medical physicists and 18 electroradiology technicians. This is a team of highly qualified specialists who have undergone a series of specialized training courses in Poland and abroad. The Krakow facility is currently the only non-public center offering postgraduate training for doctors - currently 5 resident doctors are trained here.
He is the medical director of the Amethyst Radiation Therapy Center Marcin Hetnał, MD, PhD, doctor specializing in oncological radiation therapy. In the years 2001-2013 he worked at the Oncology Center in Krakow as an assistant and then an adjunct professor. In 2006, he obtained a doctorate in medical sciences from the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University. He completed scientific internships at the Institute of Oncology in Gliwice and the Radio-oncology Clinic in Dresden. Author of 23 publications and 3 chapters in specialized books and 44 presentations at scientific conferences.
