NOT ONLY MEDICATIONS CURE

Thoughts and feelings have a huge impact on the cells of everyone's immune and hormonal systems. To feel better, it is worth looking at your thoughts from a different perspective and activating resources and skills that build mental resilience. These processes are an important complement to medical therapy.

Oncologist and radiologist Carl Simonton, based on his own experience working with patients and analyzing the latest scientific research, created a special type of therapy dedicated to cancer patients. Its goal is to improve patients' lives and reduce the feeling of hopelessness. Simonton's therapy uses work with beliefs and emotions, relaxation and breathing exercises, visualizations and mindfulness training.

A diagnosis of cancer is always a profound shock for the patient and his family. However, this difficult and painful crisis of the disease can be overcome. Crisis often becomes an initiator of change and a source of development.  Katarzyna Nowak-Ledniowska, a psychologist from the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Krakow, provides patients with relaxation instructions combined with breathing exercises. She also prepared a special, educational presentation for patients, which is displayed on screens in the Center's waiting room. You can also see it here 2520_036 PP psychology presentation
