MEETING OF MEDICAL PHYSICS IN KRAKOW

Brachytherapy is a type of radiotherapy in which the radiation source is installed directly in the cancer tumor or its immediate vicinity, which is why it is called close-up radiotherapy. It enables very precise treatment, delivering significant radiation to the diseased area, while providing good protection to healthy tissue. At the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Krakow, this method is successfully used for prostate, breast, female reproductive organs, head and neck, and skin cancers.

Modern medicine is constantly developing, so meetings, scientific discussions and exchange of views are very important. On Friday, June 11, the XNUMXth meeting of the brachytherapy section of the Polish Society of Medical Physics began, hosted by the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center.  The conference takes place in the lecture halls of the Krakow Academy. Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski.
