USE OF PROTECTIVE MASKS

From Thursday, April 9, all patients of the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center must wear protective masks.

It is advisable for each patient to have their own mask. It may be a reusable mask, which can currently be purchased at many retail outlets. If a patient does not have their own mask, they will be provided with a disposable mask upon entering the Amethyst Radiation Therapy Center. The mask should be worn throughout your stay at the facility, including when preparing for radiotherapy.

Please remember to use masks appropriately:

  • The mask should cover the mouth and nose.
  • After putting on the mask, do not touch it with your hands. It can be removed only by the straps used to attach it.
  • After the photo disposable mask it should be thrown away immediately into the waste container (with the red bag).
  • If you use reusable masks, carry a special container with you (e.g. a plastic bag) into which you can put the used mask. The mask should be washed at home at 90 degrees.
