OSSP BOARD IN AMETHYST

The meeting of the board of the National Association of Private Hospitals was started by President Andrzej Sokołowski. From 2020, meetings of the OSSP management board will be held periodically in various centers in Poland. The association has been operating since 2020 and brings together 180 entities operating in the field of non-public health care. The new formula is intended to strengthen regional cooperation.

The inauguration of the OSSP regional meetings took place on Friday, January 17, at the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center, a facility that has been a member of the association since November last year. Barbara Werchowiecka-Rusinek, president of Amethyst, participated in the management board.

Vice-President Andrzej Mądrala presented data from the latest OSSP Statistical Notebook. The private sector's share in NFZ contracts was 2019% in 20. In the case of hospital treatment, it is only 7%. A large part of the meeting was devoted to discussing solutions that provide patients with comfortable treatment and the best possible access to specialists. Elżbieta Fryźlewicz-Chrapisińska, director of the Małopolska Provincial Branch of the National Health Fund, who took part in the management board, assured that she values ​​cooperation with non-public entities, and competitions for the provision of services are still organized in Małopolska.

Meeting participants could visit the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center, where they learned about the mechanism of dynamic therapies and the latest radiotherapy.
