AMETHYST RADIOTHERAPY EXPANDS COOPERATION WITH ELEKTA

The Amethyst Radiotherapy network has signed an exclusive agreement with Elekta to supply its centers in France, Poland and Romania with specialized radiotherapy equipment. This will ensure a high level of treatments provided in the growing group of radiotherapy centers.

Since the beginning of its operation, the Krakow Amethyst Radiotherapy Center has been using three Elekta accelerators, carrying out the most advanced therapeutic procedures - IMRT, VMAT and stereotactic radiotherapy. Proven solutions and successful cooperation so far have made Amethyst Radiotherapy decide to purchase further accelerators for radiotherapy centers in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Krakow, as well as for three centers in France, which are undergoing gradual modernization.

The first delivery of equipment is planned for the second half of 2016. Pursuant to the concluded contract, Elekta will provide Versa HD™, the most modern linear accelerator on the market, as well as Elekta Infinity™ accelerators, brachytherapy equipment and the MOSAIQ radio-oncology information system.
