OPENING OF THE AMETHYST RADIOTHERAPY CENTER IN KRAKOW

The grand opening of the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Krakow is scheduled for December 11 at 14.00 p.m. This is the first network center to be launched in Poland.

Work on the construction of the Center was carried out at a very fast pace. They started in January this year, and the shell of the building was ready in August. Then the installation of three Elekta Synergy accelerators and other specialized equipment began. Within eleven months, the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center was not only built from scratch, but was also fully equipped. During this time, a team was also recruited and underwent comprehensive training.

The creation of the Radiotherapy Center is an important element in the strategy of the Specialist Hospital. L. Rydygier in Kraków, which will thus become a full-service oncology center.

The Amethyst Radiotherapy Center will be able to admit 2000 patients annually.

DIETETIC WORKSHOPS IN ZGORZELEC

The newly established Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Zgorzelec joined the XNUMXth Spring Oncological Workshops Zgorzelec Oncological Prevention. Participants received a free lecture from a nutritional technologist and individual dietary advice.

The conference organized by the Multi-Specialty Hospital - Independent Public Health Care Complex in Zgorzelec takes place on May 11-12 this year. Friday was a time of free consultations for those interested during open days. The main topic was cancer prevention. A reference to it were dietary workshops at the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center established at the hospital. The first part of the meeting was filled with a lecture by Anna Stoch - a nutritional technologist specializing in nutrition supporting the therapy of oncological diseases. She talked about nutritional factors that help prevent this type of diseases. After the lecture, there was time for individual dietary advice, and workshop participants could also benefit from a free blood pressure measurement and consultation with an oncologist.
