NEW FACILITY IN THE AMETHYST RADIOTHERAPY NETWORK

The international Amethyst Radiotherapy network is expanding its activities in Europe. The two centers in France were joined by a third one, in La Garenne-Colombes.

It operates on the premises of the Clinique Lambert hospital belonging to Ramsay Generale de Sante, one of the largest French networks of private hospitals. In 2014, almost 1200 patients underwent treatment in three local departments: radiotherapy, chemotherapy and brachytherapy. The Amethyst La Garenne-Colombes center employs a medical team consisting of 26 specialists, including eight renowned specialists in oncology and oncological radiation therapy.

Thanks to the inclusion of La Garenne-Colombes in the network of facilities, the Amethyst Radiotherapy medical team in France has increased to 60 cancer specialists. The medical and scientific activities of the three French centers are coordinated by Prof. Jean Marc Cosset, who is also honorary chairman of the Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology of the Curie Institute in Paris.
