BUCHAREST WITH THE MODERN AMETHYST RADIOTHERAPY CENTER

A medical team consisting of 30 specialists, two linear accelerators designed to handle 100 patients a day, a fully equipped hospital ward - patients in Romania can now benefit from treatment at the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center launched in Bucharest.

Every year, due to problems with access to cancer treatment, thousands of people in Romania are forced to use the services of foreign clinics. The Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Bucharest was established in response to the difficult situation on the radiotherapy market. Its task is to provide patients with modern technological solutions while maintaining international treatment standards, without the need to leave the country.

The Amethyst Radiotherapy Center was the first in Romania to propose a new approach to the treatment process and service of oncology patients. The innovative strategy to fight cancer involves combining the most advanced irradiation techniques (Elekta VMAT technology) and the expertise of the best specialists in the field of oncology: radiotherapists, oncologists and doctors of other specializations, in order to achieve greater treatment effectiveness. The medical team provides comprehensive care, from the first consultation to health monitoring, in cooperation with Amethyst's partner centers: the Claude Bernard Private Radiotherapy Center in Metz and the Davidow Center in Tel Aviv. The Bucharest clinic offers therapeutic radiotherapy, palliative radiotherapy, orthovoltage radiotherapy and chemotherapy. There is also a psychological clinic here, thanks to which patients learn various methods of pain relief and receive advice on nutrition.
