Amethyst Radiotherapy is an international network of medical centers specializing in the latest oncological therapies, especially radiotherapy. In Poland, there is currently the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Krakow.
The Amethyst Radiotherapy Center is a modern medical facility equipped with world-class equipment. It operates in close cooperation with a local specialist hospital. Here, patients can undergo all stages of oncological diagnosis and therapy in one place, from oncological surgery, chemotherapy to radiotherapy. Patients can also come for consultations without a referral. Medical services at the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center are free of charge and provided on the basis of a contract with the National Health Fund.

Modern equipment
Amethyst centers are equipped with accelerators from Elekta, one of the two global leaders in the production of such specialized medical equipment. Thanks to computerized treatment preparation systems, highly specialized radiotherapy procedures are performed in all centers, including: stereotactic radiotherapy, IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy), dynamic techniques such as VMAT, which significantly increases the effectiveness of the therapy, shortens its time and reduces side effects. The latest accelerators precisely modulate the radiation beam, which allows it to be maximally focused in the area of the lesion and protect healthy tissues.
International training and internships
Doctors, medical physicists and technicians employed at Amethyst centers undergo uniform training in renowned medical centers in Poland and abroad. They constantly learn during meetings and training courses prepared by such prestigious international institutions as ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy & Oncology) and ASTRO (American Society for Radiation Oncology). Teams in Poland also take part in meetings, symposia and training organized by PTFM (Polish Society of Medical Physics), PTO (Polish Oncological Society) and PTB (Polish Society of Brachytherapy). In this way, they have ongoing contact with the latest scientific achievements in the field of radiotherapy and international standards in this field.

The medical activity conducted by the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Krakow (CR Amethyst) involves the use of ionizing radiation in the treatment of cancer patients. It does not have a negative impact on people or the environment and does not cause the release of radioactive substances into the environment.
CR Amethyst has been providing radiotherapy to patients since 2013. All rooms in which therapeutic devices are installed and where therapy is conducted have been approved for clinical use on the basis of the required permits. The devices are subject to regular inspections and maintenance. From the beginning of its operations, the CR Amethyst team has been striving to meet the criteria of obtained permits and applicable legal regulations. This is confirmed
in the results of inspections that the center is regularly subjected to, including: by the National Atomic Energy Agency. Periodic control measurements (individual and environmental) ensure the safety of our patients, staff and other people staying in the building
