FIRST PATIENTS IN THE KRAKOW CENTER

Already 70 cancer patients have benefited from specialist consultations at the newly established Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Krakow. The facility helps patients despite delays in signing the contact form with the National Health Fund.

Amethyst is a long-awaited radiotherapy center in Małopolska, which gives patients a chance to receive quick treatment and use the latest medical technologies. The center was established in close cooperation with the Specialist Hospital. L. Rydygier, and its creation was consulted with the Małopolska branch of the National Health Fund from the beginning.

Immediately after opening, patients from both Kraków and the entire Małopolska region began to arrive at the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center. The center started treatment despite delays in obtaining the declared contract with the National Health Fund. Since December 16, 2013, the Center's doctors have provided 70 advice and consultations to patients, and on December 30, the first patient started radiotherapy. Another 8 people were qualified for irradiation. Their treatments began this week.
