TRAINING ON THE AMETHYST NETWORK

Internal training within an international group, meetings and conversations with colleagues from other countries - an exchange program of specialists from various network centers is underway.

The concept of the Amethyst Radiotherapy network is international. Regardless of the place of operation, the same medical procedures are implemented and top-class equipment is installed, and doctors and medical staff undergo identical training. The exchange of knowledge within the network plays an equally important role, which is why internships within the group have also been introduced - doctors, medical physicists and technicians go to foreign centers of the Amethyst network to learn from their colleagues and share their own experiences. In this way, they have contact not only with the latest scientific achievements in the field of radiotherapy, but also with solutions proven in twin medical facilities.

This year, two Polish-Romanian exchanges have already been organized, in which six specialists participated. In March, two technicians, one medical physicist and one doctor came from Bucharest to the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Krakow for a five-day internship, and three months later, two people from the Polish center (technicians) went to Romania for a similar internship. Further exchanges are planned, this time Romanian-Polish-Italian: from July 10 to 14, two doctors from Rome will stay in Krakow, then two more will go for an internship to the radiotherapy center in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
