Krakow
Over 100 people work at the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center in Krakow, including 14 radiotherapists, 10 medical physicists and 18 electroradiology technicians. This is a team of highly qualified specialists who have undergone a series of specialized training courses in Poland and abroad. The Krakow facility is currently the only non-public center offering postgraduate training for doctors - currently 5 resident doctors are trained here.
The medical director of the Amethyst Radiotherapy Center is Marcin Hetnał, MD, PhD , a physician specializing in radiation oncology. From 2001 to 2013, he worked at the Oncology Center in Krakow as an assistant professor and then as an assistant professor. In 2006, he earned his doctorate in medical sciences from the Jagiellonian University Medical College. He completed research internships at the Institute of Oncology in Gliwice and the Clinic of Radiooncology in Dresden. He is the author of 23 publications and 3 chapters in specialist books, as well as 44 presentations at scientific conferences.
